    Tom Byrne graduated from the University of Michigan in 1989, moved to NewYork City, studied Meisner Method at the Phil Gushee Studio, swang back to Ann Arbor to join forces with band The Psychedelic Lounge Cats which provided the means to finally get out to the West Coast and the beautiful climes of San Francisco, CA. Since moving to the warmer side of the States,Byrne’s s own his artistic oats within several multi-disciplinary fields. He’s collaborated as a musician via several dozen bands, most notably thePsychedelic Lounge Cats, Mol Triffid and modern dance ensemble Xeno, which he also served as Video Director. Tom’s pursuits within the visual arts include stints as Video Director for record label Toadophile at Mr. Toad’sRecording Studio and some nifty side-work under his moniker VJ Ho-Tep, creating projected installations for several years at the Tiki Oasis convention in San Diego, CA. and most recently working with Production Designers Scott Levkoff and Jorden Nash creating visual ambience for Las Vegas lounge TheGolden Tiki. His theatrical endeavors boast a quintuple threat: fulfilling roles as Writer, Director, Producer, Actor & Composer of the Quintology My Son,the Mummy, the 4th episode of which, a feature-length film, is currently in production.

  • Songwriter, Musician & Audio Specialist


    Xifer Fortier is a songwriter, musician, and audio specialist who spent 14 years in the Bay Area band, Griddle with Kevin Seal, Chris McGrew and Kimo Ball, and now records and performs under the moniker, XFR 4TA. He is the co-host (also with Seal) of the Lo-Fidelity music trivia game show.

 

  • Producer Drummer

    Chris McGrew is a drummer, producer, and part owner at Wally's HydeOut in Hyde Street Studios. He's worked with many luminaries including Karl Denson, Keyon Harrold, and Adam Deitch. Currently he's co-writing and producing new music with Seal Party.

  • Executive Producer

    Juri Koll has worked in the business since the 1980's, producing and directing features, docs, and music videos. He has worked with Academy Award winning and nominated actors as well as up and coming stars and enjoys the demands of successful filmmaking and telling great stories.

    After graduating from California Institute of the Arts with majors in Fine Art and Film, Mr. Koll produced the first Art/World documentaries from 1990 - 1995. He worked with major curators in their museums and galleries, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The National Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. His subjects included world famous and infamous artists and art world figures from the Renaissance period to the present. His documentaries on artists and other art world figures are available in university libraries across the U.S. Recently, Juri's first documentary, In The Steel: A Portrait of Mark di Suvero, (1991), was accepted into the Archives of American Art at the Smithsonian Institution.

    His films have screened all over the world, in over 70 festivals, including Cannes, the Cork International Film Festival, the Australian International Film Festival, and won many awards.

 
  • Musician, Composer

    Kevin Gerzevitz is a professional musician, composer and teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He frequently performs as jazz organist with B3B4 Organ Jazz Quartet, and with The Patrick Greene Trio, and as pianist with The KG Trio.

    Kevin is from Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was a student at the University of Michigan School of Music and studied piano performance, jazz studies, improvisation, and composition.

     Upon completing a BMA degree in 1990 with a major in Music Theory and German, he relocated to San Francisco where he  has since worked as a freelance pianist, organist, accordionist, composer and teacher.

    He attended the San Francisco Orff Course at Mills College from 2003 to 2005 and became certified as a Level III Orff-Schulwerk instructor. Since 2008, he has worked as the Music & Movement Specialist at Pacific Primary Orange Sun School in San Francisco.

     Kevin has scored several independent films and has produced music for advertising, web, multimedia and musical theater.

  • Musician

    Kevin Seal is half of the original soul-rock group Seal Party, which just released the album, MMXXII. He has also toured and recorded with Michael Zapruder, 20 Minute Loop, Scott Pinkmountain, Car Wash, the Jean Genies, and Griddle.

    By day, he analyzes songs for the Music Genome Project and teaches music at the Raskob Institute of Holy Names University. During the pandemic, he co-hosted an online, interactive video game show called Lo-Fidelity.

 
  • Co-Writer

    Kurt Serbus is a graduate of the storied University of Michigan Film Studies program.

    He walked away from a 12-year career as a licensed San Franciscan private investigator to dwell among the natives of Sumatra, where he now teaches the English language and pens achingly romantic torch songs full of longing and loss.

Synopsis for MSTM IV: The Riddle of the Sphinxter, or With Mummy you get Eggroll:

A genuine, yet awkward romantic chemistry develops on set between two Hollywood also-rans, each with a storied past. Their reckless love proves disastrous for the film’s production and its' obsessed director's vision. An 11th hour financial provision from a mysterious benefactor steers the two lovers' star vehicle towards even stranger climes, and on a collision course with the end of the world! Simultaneously creating and coping with the mounting chaos, each must face the demons of their past, finally realizing the baggage they once considered a curse to be a secret blessing in disguise. But at what cost to their torrid affair?
